Hey,

I've got a problem with my wrists, evertime i go out riding, i always pull a muscle in my wrists and it hurts like hell when i am bunnyhopping and i cant pick stuff up. I usually rest my wrists for a few days but when i go out again when they are better, the muscle just gets hurt again and i either rest or ride in agony.

the rest of my arm muscles are fine, i can do 2ft bunnyhops from flat ground which i think is ok for a beginner, but my wrists always get hurt.

i was wondering if there were supportive gloves or something like that to support my wrists so that the muscles dont get pulled to bits. At least if they have support i could build the strength of the muscles up without hurting them all the time.

any advice?..... thanks

There are wrist braces you can get, about the size of a sweat band that supports your wrists, don't know if that will help.

Something always hurts a little if ride a lot. Part of it.

your wrists will soon be used to riding...and then you should have no problems...when i started out i had that same thing happen...riding is not some normal thing for your body to be doing so i guess maybe it just takes some time to get used to.
but yea otherwise...wrists braces like mr senior said. haha...man im just playing trimix.

well your lucky. both of my wrists are hyper-extended and thats pain. they tend to lock in akward positions and i have to fling my wrists really hard till they pop and i can move them again. its extremely painful but i have had bad falls on them and i have screwed them up badly and its been like this for 2 years now. its painful, annoying, and they crack and pop really loudly and badly

Hey no enzyte or what about Bob jokes, I'm really sensitive.
I messed up my wrists when I first started skating in '85. I wrap my wrists with two sports wraps from any drug store. But if you haven't fallen that much your wrists will get stronger.

i had a wrist problem, it turns out that my scaphoid bone was broken and i didnt even know. if the pain is coming from just above your thumb you should get a doctor to check it out.

man in that year i was just swimming around, hahaha just 2 more years later i was born. but for me mine wont ever get better i keep falling and my friend had a hyper extended knee and he had to sit out from doing anything for like 3 months, so all he was able to do was walk and maybe ride(no jumping though) so im not waiting that long for it to heal so mine will never get better and im a very hard rider too

Dude, evs has these wrist guards just for hyperextension and recovering. They look seem sturdy with a plate on top and I think bottom. Only 18 bucks, that's worth it. Trust me, get these or SOMETHING if you don't want to wait through recovery. If not, you won't have enough strength later to be able to grip your bars. Repetitive injuries take all kinds of tolls on your body.
Closing in on 32 sometimes I feel like a Knight suiting up to ride. I wrap both ankles, one knee-brace, wrist straps (ocassionally guards skating on half), gloves ( it's no fun picking gravel or rocks out of your palms), and a helmet when trying new or big stuff (three or five concussions,it's hard to remember, in the summer of '91 when handrails came out), and a left elbow pad somtimes. I creak and pop like crazy.

well ill check them out but if i dont have good amount of movement then im not buying them, and $18 is quite a bit to me and i hardly ever have that much. but it seems this winter has helped alot but we will see what happens when i get to some serious riding again im sure the pain will come right back, just like it did last year

Those evs braces have removable inserts so they should be pretty non-restricting. but those fox gloves look too long, I'd have to try them on.
