Just wondering why some people run a wider tyre at the front? And is it OK to run a 20x1.5-1.75 tube in a larger tyre? Because my LBS said that its fine, but they didn't give a reason why, and I really don't want my tires blowing out on a quarter or on a trail or something.

20x1.50 should be okay. But it depends.. How much bigger is the tire?

For your size I would recommend some Animal Type-R Slicks off of Dans Comp

I'm getting a dirt path plyte at the front and a path plyte at the back when the times comes. I'm running knobbly tyres 20x2.125 at the moment.

For the front get and oddy P-Lyte Path at 2.2 and at rear whatever you want but get a high PSI one (ruben,Faf) at 1.9

for more overall grip and if you hit a soft patch on the ground you are gonna have more chance of it staying on the surface of the ground and not digging in.
