I have a chrome gary little john in good condition

it has no scraches or dents but the chrome is 10 years old and is chipping

should I sand of the chrome and paint it?
will it look better without the chiping chrome and a fresh coat of paint?
how do I go about painting a chrome frame?

the paint wont be strong if you paint it on chrome. Chrome isnt rough and the paint wont stick to it. I recommend sanding it before painting

i painted my chrome forks black, like a fade from the dropouts. The forks fell from 5 feet on the ground when it was drying, and nothing came off, but sand it down a lillte bit where u going to paint so its stays better.

As always i suggest haven it sand blasted to remove all the paint and have a smooth metal frame then proceed to paint it its the only way to guarentee a professional finish
