DuPont commercialised Teflon and it's virtually fact that you'll own one or more items they've helped make - pans, clothing, insulation, paints, glues, plastics, coatings on products... They also make greases and lubricants

Dry film lubricants - use the top two on chains, they leave a wax like layer behind - unlike WD-40 and other sprays

Lithium greases - good for packing high pressure surfaces like bearings, they include Teflon and the more extreme versions have Molybdenum Disulphide in (as slippy as teflon, hard wearing)

WD-40 and other sprays have no place on a bike beyond wiping over the frame.

And speaking of DuPont I have some family who work at a plant here in NJ
Cool, see if you can find out what section of DuPont they work for. If it's Performance Lubricants - WIN! 8)

Let me know as well, I'm on the hunt for DuPont supplies
