I have a couple questions:

1.the bolt that connects the arm to the sprocket has no head, it is just a stud bolt...is this normal (my profiles had a regular allen head bolt) and there seems to be a tad bit a slack.
2. When putting these arm on do I just "beat" them in (grease, wood, rubber mallet)...it seems really hard to slide these arms onto the spindles...

why don't you try picking up a different bolt?

and it that 2nd picture it looks like you have the sprocket on the wrong side of the sprocket bolt...maybe it just looks that way.

get a crank arm putter onner.

it screws into a hollow spindle. then you tighten it with a wrench and it presses it onto the spindle. it came with my chop stix and worked very gently and was pretty easy :D
