Well, it really depends on what you plan to do... I suggest you try everything first, as in flatland, street, dirt, and vert (if your skateparks allow you). Just go and see what you like. If you want to start out with flatland, then just try doing some endos and tailwhips. They're easy enough. Thats what I started out on. Barspins, you may want to try those later, but it all depends on what your balance is like. If you're going for street and dirt, you MUST know how to bunny-hop (or bronco, if you're technical) to actually do things. You want to know how to 'wheelie' and then turn that into a manual first though. For dirt, just do the same as street, but learn to pick up the front of your bike easily, becuase when your going off of jumps, you'll need to do that. And for vert, er, just ride around at the parks and get used to it before you try anything.

To get awesome information on tricks and things of that nature, go to www.bmxtrix.com, and to find riders in your area, go to www.angerbmx.com. They're both amazing sites.

I wish you luck. You have no idea what you just got yourself into, and you won't be able to get out of it. :D
