Step 1: Take off your front brake its no need anyway.
Step 2: Take off 2 of your pegs (the pegs in that side you dont use anyway)
Step 3: Cut down your bars length.

C'mon guys you write step 4 and 5 and so on ok?

weight

If you want to cut down weight best thing to do is get a lighter frame, and front fork. As this is most of your weight. You can beat around the bush all day and trim weight here and there but most of it is in what you started with. In most cases you get what you pay for, so whip out the wallet and let it do the talking. Doing the three steps above help but best thing is to buy new parts. YOu can start by buying a new frame and switching stuff over, then slowly upgrade from there to save $$$$$> Just my suggestion.

just 9lbs. what the hell the standard trails 250s ox platinum is like 5lbs. 11oz. 9lbs. is pretty heavy for a "light weight" frame. but other things u can do is take off both brakes. if u absolutely have to have brakes then at least take off the gyro and run a normal cable long enough to do a double bar spin and u will be fine.

Ok Just a little advice!!

The average bike weighs about 36 pounds. If you can't easily ride that go to the ****IN gym and work out you pussy. Sorry to be so harsh but I am a 17 year old scrawny shit 5'10" 130 pounds and I can bunny hop my bike on to a picnic table and a little higher. Now I am sure you guys are a little bigger than me.

light forks and bars will make loads of diffrence
and a small seat and cut down seat post
if you run a 36 spoke on the frout its strong and light and with a 10 mm hub
but the most weight is in the frame
get a fly bikes frame cos they are light yet strong

its not a matter of strength its matter of prefrence, lite bikes feel nice and you dont have to do so much work, no one wants to work when they ride they want to have FUN:)

and most bikes are around 27lbs now adays about 7 years ago when i first started a normal bike was 36

Step 1: Put some front brakes on because they are super fun.
Step 2: Rock four pegs because it opens up a lot of new doors.
Step 3: Cut your bars to whatever is comfortable.
Step 4: Stop giving a rats ass about how much your bike weighs and just have fun.

Lately jamiewat you've been bringing up a lot of old topics, so if you're reading this stop because it's not contributing anything, the only reason you should be replieing in an older topic is if is related to a question you need answered that isnt already answered in the topic, but dont give advice to people who haven't been on for two+ years.
