So, I did a search of the music corner only to find one thread from 2004 about Industrial.
Is there anyone here who listens to goth or industrial or more than likely, both?
I'm a big fan of;
Ministry
The Mercy Cage
Sisters of Mercy
Assemblage 23
Razed in Black
Bauhaus
KMFDM
Skinny Puppy
Ohgr
London After Midnight
Angelspit
Bile
Laibach
Killing Miranda
Nick Cave
The Cruxshadows
Fields of the Nephilim

Anyone else interested? Anyone want to be interested?

I'd like to start a discussion of sorts, I'm wanting recommendations on other bands and I'm more than happy to make recommendations myself.

I quite like The Fragile, Downward Spiral and With Teeth, the others not so much.
Reznor tends to get a bit self-indulgent.

Well I quite like Motley Crue, Poison, Dio etc.
I also dig Celtic Frost, Obituary, X Japan, Helloween and Gamma-ray.
So, hair metal or true metal?

i'm mostly "true" metal but it takes all kinds to make the world go round......

it's funny tho. the band me and my friend started, were pretty much influenced by alot of 80s metal and alternative. it sounds weird to go from motley crue to thin lizzy to red jumpsuit apparatus to anthrax but i like it.

70s 80s and alternative all the way

Yeah but he's more or less just shock rock. Milking the goth image to make more money.
I still like it.

Talented definitely.

If you dig Primus you might like Pop Will Eat Itself. They're kinda similar (but not really, confusing I know).
You should also check out Ministry and/or Revolting ****s.

Hair metal is dope while we are on the topic.

As for industrial, this gothic bitch in my first period last year used to talk about this band called Candy Coated Jesus. Maybe check them out?

Just looked up their myspace... Nu-metal.
Sucks pretty badly. Sounds like an even shittier version of Static X.

That whole album is awesome. This is the day, this is the hour, this is this. It's almost hip hop at times.
So good.
Yeah Ministry's not for everyone. Which tracks have you heard?
