how the bloody hell do you get a 16" tube in a 20" wheel, and why do you run them?

I can lose a couple ounces and spend virtually no money.

just wondering why you went for 170mm cranks to go with your huge toptube? and do you get many flats w/the 16" tubes because i might try that out at least in my front...if i can be convinced it isnt a waste of time. I also have that stem but mine is inverted, and to finish it off...nice bike.

^its a waste of time. i have a 16 inch tube up front and it isnt a single ounce lighter. just go with common 20 inch tubes. waste of time.

The cranks were on sale at Dan's at the time. I'm hoping to get some 175mm Wombolts. Never had problem with the tubes, been running them for almost two years, not the same tubes mind you. If you do it, I recommend using lots of baby powder inside the tire and cover the tube. This allows for strecthing and movement of the tube instead of ripping. People should be putting baby powder in their tires anyways, less pinch flats.

I lost an ounce in each tube for basically free. Just buy a 16" tube instead of a 20" when you pop it. :)
