parts of your bike breaking doesnt make you anymore of a rider than you already are. breaking parts is just a part of riding.

Not really weaker as such, but it will make it easier to break..... contradiction? well, yes but what I mean is this. Remember the amount of times you try cutting your brake cable and it won't cut, but if you pull it tight it cuts easy? well this is the same, the added tension on the chain will make it easier to snap as the impact will be more concentrated in one area. Also it has less flex in it so when you catch it on an obstacle it has less room to move before it breaks.

I'm not saying run your chain slack as I prefer mine tight too, just so you know.

Breaking parts do not make you any more of a rider, it is a normal part of bmx but you may be good and not break parts often or at all. It all depends on how smooth you are.

if you grind on the right... your much more likely to break the chain.
