So I was jumping into some feebles, missed my back peg a couple times, and smashed my chain into my chain ring. I'm worried about breaking my chain.

Would somthing like this work? and would it break after a few good misses?

don't know about stuff like that tree guard. things like that have been around for years though so they must be ok.

i'd go for something like an odyssey mds:

a lot more money but they hold up.

the big, old style metal bash guards (like the fly one) are pretty pointless these days.

That guard won't fit your sprocket unless you have the OG Tree sprocket in 36t. If you're running 30-11 gearing or smaller, get an Odyssey MDS sprocket. You won't regret it.
