the loudness of ones cassete isnt directly proportional to the size of ones penis.....

you can make your cassette louder but bending out the spring(s) that make the pawls bounce out.

keep in mind though, that the louder your cassette is, the harder it is hitting the engagement ring inside your hubshell and the faster it will wear your hub out. loud cassette= abused hub.

besides, what is the point of a loud hub? if you get chased out of a spot, the cops will find you easier if you have a loud hub. that's why i like my silent nankai coaster- stealth!

stop whining and go ride your bike.

why all of a sudden do so many people want louder hubs and want to know which hub is loudest?

Loud hubs are ridiculous. A loud bike makes it seem sketchy and crappy

its personal opinion but i just think a really silent and smooth sounding bike is much better than a screamin cassette.

whats next... kids wanting cranks that creak and pedals that squeek? why not put a nerf ball on your frame!

cranks squeaking can be cool
my friend has powerbites that sound like a helicopter

and to answer the question bend the springs out

LOL! Haha I forgot about those things! Anyways, I have a mix hub also and it is already really loud as far as I am concerned. To the kid who started the thread, why not just leave your stuff the way it is and spend more time riding? Less tinkering = more riding time.

Spray your driver with WD40 and clean off all the grease.

Taking off the grease makes your driver wear much faster. It makes the driver have metal to metal contact and creates more friction which creates more wear. This will wear your driver down much quicker and in the end ruin your cassette.

NEVER EVER EVER USE WD40

garden tools yes

bikes NO

yeah itll lube everything up, yeah itll clean it out, yeah itll make every bit of dust, dirt, grass, leaves, anything else stick to any area with wd40 on it.

use gt85 as its MEANT for bikes

did anyone read that bike commandments thing? THOU SHALT NOT USE WD40.

i have noticed this same phenomenon on another bmx message board. Ride Magazine inserted a subliminal message in a Scotty Cramner photo that says "loud hubs are good. make your hub louder." fortunately, i did not read that magazine or i am immune because i ride a coaster.

if anything, this obsession is good for bmx. it means these dumb kids will wear their hubs out faster and they will have to shell out more money for a new hub sooner, therefore boosting the BMX economy. it will also be good for orthodontic surgeons as all these fools wear out their hubs and their hubs start skipping. when the pawls blow off, some kid goes down and eats his handlebars: $2000 surgery=good for dentists.
