    Default [HowTo] Turndown [P][D]

    Article from BMX-Zone.com, http://www.bmx-zone.com/en-article-id-476.html

    Trick Description:

Turndown: Turning the bar by almost 180 degrees while looking to the back of your bike during a jump.

    HOWTO:

    1) aproach the ramp at a moderate speed, the faster you go the usually the higher you will go...

    2) on take off pull you bars up.. and kick your bike out to the side that your back foot is on.. (mine being right)

    3) pull your hand closest to your whip out way into your body (this would be my right, your left) this will bring the bars round a bit.)

    4) now that you have pulled your arm into your body... extend your legs so they are straight, then extend your other arm and push down on the bars, this will make you bring the bars in with the other hand while turning the bars round as much as possible... if you want to get turndowns more and more clicked. you should Lean over the bike... this gives you leverage to push the bars down more.

    5) now that your comming down you should bend your legs and turn the bars back and then let the bike whip out of position... and land.

i think you should say turn to what side feels right

cause i ride right foot forward and turndown the same direction as you...i just pedal my foot until its where it should be...its easier than trying to do it the other way

but whatever, still a great how-to

is there a special movement to do that ? ..or does it always take long to get the feeling ?

if you lean over the bike when snapping your bars over... your legs will straighten them selves.
