I don't know how to do them, but my friend who can do them, told me to not even bother with doing them without hopping, cuz it's useless (Unless you like them), but he learned them flat, then tried to do them in hops, and he said it's WAY different, and now he found out, he wasted his time trying to learn them flat, cuz it didn't help at all when he tried to do them in hops. But good luck on learning them! I need to learn bar-hops too!

completely agree with that guy, it is a completely different style of throwing and i bothered learning with my right hand on flat, and then my hop bars with right sucked, so i went to learn left, can't do em flat for shit but can throw em in hops fine!

The only way you're going to learn them is by trial-and-error. Practice by lifting up the front of your bike and throwing them.

Do 'em flyout untill you get them dialled, then a flatbank, then smaller and smaller banks, then do them hop, get them dialed, then man up and do them everywhere else. Oh yeah, you'll probably wanna wear kneepads unless you're tough.

Also, that pull your bike up and throw 'em business is bullshit, I'm not blowing my own horn but I've got them as dialed as anyone and I still can't do them like that, it really doesn't help.

Another tip, whenever you pick up your bike, spin your bars, just with your bike next to you, it really helps for co-ordination. Every single time you pick up your bike, it gets your muscle memory going I guess.

Pulling your bike up and throwing isn't BS, I learnt that first.

Oh a tip, keep the hand your not throwing with in the same place to grab them quickly, that hand should grab the bars first.

definitely agree with stephen. i only learnt these on saturday and have only thrown them in hops and nothing else. i find as long as youre leaning over the bars then throw them when youre leveling out in the hop then they are easy as hell. but throwing them by just pulling up the front doesnt help for shit. may make you confident in throwing but feels nothing like an actual hop bars
