25/9
I have a haro x1 and i want to upgrade the gearing with a 25/9 kit. is it worth it since the bike was only 265 dollars brand new?

Re: 25/9
I'd put it off until you can afford a new complete with the gear ratio that you want. A low-end Haro isn't the smartest investment to make in a bike. I'm sure it will suit you fine for a while but I wouldn't upgrade it.

Re: 25/9
i got the haro 25/9 kit, and it isnt the greatest thing ever. the double wall is kind of cheap, and i bent it bad the first day, and had to pay ALOT to get it back into true. and the sprocket is kind of weak, and definatly donot grind on the same said at it or.. well snapp.
just figured id tell you that. but a regular 25/9 setup is nice

Re: 25/9
like a few others said it my be better to save up and upgrade the whole bike. if you HAVE to have a 25 /9 set up soon that haro kit is pretty cool for the price. the rim isn't the best in the world but it's better than what came stock on the bike.
