[Review] odyssey elementary v2 stem
I've had my elementary for a few months now and it hasn't slipped once!
I got my elementary in black and have never seen a stem I'd prefer. I remember the first time I saw it thinking how great it looked and later how well it worked!
If I had to criticize the stem I would have to say that putting it on is slightly more difficult than other stems, and I scratched both set of bars Ive had trying to line it up. The stem is also incredibly annoying to get off or loosen unless you oil it a lot. The one bolt design often jams causing me to have to hit the bolt with the allen key in it with a hammer, this could be avoided easily though by just oiling it. I'm just stupid lol!
The design of the elementary it incredibly simple yet very clever and effective, the lack of the bolts around the back helps save your knees and looks awseome, many stems have got a lot of design inspiration from the design of the elementary, but none that i know of only use one bolt! and its super light!
PROS
1. looks great, is different, and great design
2. good anodising prevents bad scratching
3. superlight
4. holds the bar in place well
5. reasonably priced
CONS
1. difficult to put on and not wreck bars
2. it jams occasionally when being taken off if not greased
3. it may be irregular and original in the world of stems but they're super common!

all in all I give the stem 8.5/10 i knocked a bit off because of the jamming issue
thanks for reading

Re: [review] odyssey elementary v2 stem
Only an idiot is dumb enough not to grease any bolt on their bike.
I personally hate the fatness of this stem.

Re: [review] odyssey elementary v2 stem
i agree 100% with your review.
love mine, just have to tighten he shit out of it once! helps if you grease the two wedges that slide(not the wedges that grip)
