dirt jumping

i tried some dirt jumping today and totally killed myself :x can anyone give me tips on how to get air off the ramp??

when your about to get to the top of the dirt ramp bend our knees and pull up on the handlebars like a bronco. and then bend your knees more when you land so it takes some of the impact and its easier on you.
