can you transfer songs from your computer onto a MP3 player. say if you have transfered a song from a CD to your computer, then can you transfer the song onto the MP3 player.

If you use windows media player to load songs "cd-pc", they are in WMA format, and most mp3 players recognise this format. MP3, usually downloaded songs, also are recognised. If you have songs in, say, mp4, m4a, asf, ogg etc etc, you can download programs to convert the to WAV, MP3, WMA, etc...
google "acoustica audio converter" for the program, then find a serial for it on freeserials.com but im "NOT" endorsing you pirate software

You can put just about any song on your mp3 player. Sometimes i-tunes gives me a little trouble about copyright, so then I just copy the song manually. Your MP3 player will show up on your computer as another hard drive, and you can drag and drop song files onto that like any other drive. And, you will never get a free I-Pod. You just have to buy them, but at least they're getting cheaper.

Yeah, but from a design standpoint , the I-Pod is purty. It looks like Frank Gehry designed it. I've been real happy with my I-Pod. I'm not familiar with the Sony MD, can one you fill me in. Thanks.

$50 AU is cheap for an MP3 player, my I-Pod was $499 US (without the case), but I figure it can hold more music than I have. It's not even half filled and it can play for 8 days straight without repeating a song. It great for long plane flights and such.

I have an Ipod, and while a little expensive it has worked flawlessly, even been slammed a few times. I have several hundred songs on it, and use it frequently when I ride.
