When and if you get a Staph Infection you should go straight to the doctor IMMEDIATLY. But there are also some things you can do while you are at your house to make sure it doesnt spread or to make it go away.

1. Keep it covered at all times
2. Make sure you keep NeoSporin on it or some other antibiotic ointment.
3. Three times a day for 20 minutes at a time you should put a hot compound or a hot rag on it to draw the infection to the top.
4. DO NOT PICK AT IT. this could lead to the infection spreading.
5. Wash your hands ALOT to prevent further infections.
6. For about 2 weeks after you get the infection you should wash your Sheets, Blanket, Pillowcase every other day because the bacteria can be on your bed clothes and potentially cause another infection.

Follow these steps and they should help you with your Staph Infection.

But you should ALWAYS see a doctor with them because you dont need to play around with Staph.

What the hell man? I don't think many bmxers get staph infections. But I suppose once in a blue moon.

Everybody carries staph on their body but it doesnt always cause an infection. so everybody BASICALLY has the same chance to get it. Hypothetically speaking.

hehe sorry, I don't say that to be a prick, I just think it's more efficient to find stuff yourself rather than waiting on others to tell you (and possibly get it wrong). Wise is the man who helps himself.

I had a staph infection in my leg when I was 14. It was from a muscle tear and some weird bacterial infection in my blood from a different unrelated injury, so I thought. A cut one month, a muscle tear the next. It pocketed in my torn musscle and required surgery to fix. That was an extreme case though, and difficult to treat since it was internal.
If you get a cut and it develops a staph infection, any anti-biotic oitmnet will help. But you still need to get medical attention. They can be serious infections.
