I've built my tabletop finally so im on to doing trick. I've been trying to get more and more height but i need some tips on doing tricks.
my biggest problem is getting enough height to extend the trick, like if im doing a tabletop, holding it for as long as possible fully extended.
any other tips for jumping would be great
How big is your tabletop? Bigger jump = more hangtime.

Actually, it's more like steeper takeoff=more hangtime.
True, but there's more to it than that. Take one jump, then imagine another jump that's the same height and steepness, but longer. You'll have to have more speed to clear it. That extra speed will translate to extra hangtime.

its 3/4 foot, but faster i go the furthur i jump rather than higher i jump. Just been getting used to it doing smallish tabletops. Ive basicaly just started so geting used to it.
I meant bigger jump as in bigger dirt obstacle, not a bigger jump on your part.

make ur jump bigger and make the lip steeper. more like a 1/4 pipe but not that steep...
do tricks later first practice jumping and boosting. remake ur jump bigger as soon as u got it dialed in and can clear it likenothing. which showed be like evey weekand. once ur gettin good air then try tricks

yer thanks for the advice, we keep getting hassled by this old man whenever we build the jumps bigger. he has a BIG dog so not usually argueing with him:eek:

i agree with ozzy. because you dont want to go out and try to jump summin and without knowing how to boost or anything and try to throw a table and crash and hurt yourself

Deffinatly get used to the jump, but make sure you have the hangtime even after. Getting use to the jump is one thing, but tricking it is different. Deffinatly get used to the jump and then make sure you're getting higher rather than gapping. Someone said like a 1/4pipe, like that.

Yeah at my old trails i had in the last set of my 6 pack a short (about 6 feet long set) but very steep lip to it. This gave alot more height in the air for alot of tricks.
