I couldn't find my fave on BMX Museum (an early Standard Lengthy), but I found it (sorta) on www.23mag.com:

I say sorta, because this is actually a pic of a Shorty. The frames were identical in every respect though, apart from the Lengthy having a 1" longer top tube.

My bro had a Shorty. I saw a chrome Lengthy on Ebay awhile back. It was pretty beat up and had some crappy parts on it, but I bid anyway. I lost. But those bikes were sweet, especially when they had the metallic paint jobs.

Those are highly sought after by collectors. If it's in good shape then you might have a small gold mine on your hands!

I used to have 2 of them! But my parents threw them away when I was young :<

A bit like cars I guess. 10 years after an unassuming car comes out, it's not too popular. But a few decades later, it becomes cool again.

THe only old bike I have is a 95ish Dyno Slammer frame. It needs work, not even close to being complete. And it used to be chrome but somebody painted it. Looks like poo.

Anyone remember the Reynolds 44's (44" wheelbase bikes). I a lil' guy so I never could ride one....all the fastest guys at the track used to ride them.

I wish I could get a S&M challenger, my brother had one and it was an awesome bike. Geometry on those things is still good to this day.

What was a Standard Tao? It combined two standard frames (but which ones)? Was that the Bobby Fisher or Paul Osika signature frame...

jawn

The Tao was Paul Osicka's signature flatland frame. The Shaman was Bobby Fisher's dual purpose street/flat frame. I dunno which frames the Tao was comprised of, it doesn't look like their previous frames at that point (the Lengthy/Shorty, the STA & their racing frame).

LMAO. I don't have to search for my favorite old school bike. It's right here in my house. My 84 or 85 (not sure of the year anymore) Haro Master

Sweet. OGK Mags? Nice. I remember going through about 400 of those brake levers too. (second pic)

This is similar to one that I had, and loved. My first REAL BMX.

I've got the frame set and crank for one of these, but no money or time to build it with.

I miss my old one. THe frame I have now will never be the same, since the chrome is ruined.
You're guys' bikes are some of the sweetest on this forum, in my opinion. Probably just being sentimental, but I loved the old GT's and Dynos.

That'a awesome that you still have one. The frames from 87 throughy 89 or so for the Pro Performers and Pro Freestyle Tours were all very similar. The only way to varify is to find a site that can cross refrence the serial number for you. (Unless it still has the decals, that makes it easier) If you want to sell it for cheap, let me know...
