i see many posts looking for new mods. so here is a how to for a few mods.

mod 1: cut down bars

1. mark how far in you want to cut on each side
2. use a pipe cutter/cutoff wheel/hacksaw/whatever else to cut the bars at that location

mod 2: cut down steerer tube

1. mark distance down the steerer tube you want to cut at(make sure it is now lower than the top of the weld of the starnut, or the top of the starnut)
2. cut it at that spot

mod 3: cut seat post

1. mark how far you want to cut down the post(make sure you still have atleast 2 inches of seat post to go into the seat tube)
2. cut it at that spot

mod 4: cut seat tube

1. mark how far down the seat tube you want to cut down(make sure there is still enough room above your toptube to fit your seatpost clamp)
2. cut it at that spot

mod 5: cut axle nuts flush

1. use a cutoff wheel or a hacksaw to cut the axle as close to the axle nut as possible.
2. use a grinder or a file to get the axle perfectly flush with the axle nut.

make sure you do not do this on the side that you run pegs on, or if you are ever planing on running pegs.

mod 6: cutting down dropouts

1. use a sharpie marker to mark the spot on the dropouts that you want cut. make sure that the line/ cut flows, and is the same on both dropouts.
2. take a cutoff wheel/ whatever else you can use to cut along the linke you marked.
3. use a grinder/file to clean up the rough edges of the cut

mod 7: cut off brake mounts/ gyro tabs

1. take a cut off wheel/ hacksaw and cut the piece as close as you can to the frame/ forks with out cutting into the actual structure.
2. use a grinder/file to clean up the rest of the mount/ tab. make sure not to grind into the structure, or it will weaken it.

thats all ive got for now, if anyone has anything else that they think should be added, let me know... i will add it in, and hopefully this will get rid of all the threads that keep poping up about mods, as i will hopefully cover all the mods and how to do them in this one thread.

Yes, you are very right. Some of these people type like they are still in 2nd grade.

teh starnut is where the compression bolt threads into. it is inside the steerer tube.
