havnt had any experinces with barspins in the air on flat i have, but maybe try having your seat abit higher so enough so your knees can pinch it tight enough

same problem, i go around 90 degrees on an x-up. it makes it really easy to do x-up disasters though.

your not leaning forward enough for the barspins (if your not pinching). you want to be over your bike with your legs back and kinda straight.

For turndowns look in the dirt section. I posted a good writeup on how to do them, sorry im not gonna look for it or re-write it. You have the search option to use.

barspin flyouts are easy once you get them, just level out in the air first and then throw it. when i try to teach people they always throw the bars too early and the front end drops.

Just incase you couldn't find it or others were curious. This is my how-to for a Turndown.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I first tried them as x-ups with a kickout.. which is not the correct way but it kinda helps you get the motion. Its really all in the arms for this trick. You wanna pull your front end straight up. I do them to the right so thats how ill explain it, just do the opposite if you feel comfy to the left. After you get the bike straight up, pull your right arm tward your waist, push out with your left arm. This causes the bars to go around your headtube. You wanna straighten your legs out, and be in an upright position. What a turndown is is kinda like a standing x-up. Instead of crossing your arms though you move with them up and around the headtube. Hope it helps.
