Well the best thing i can do is a huge air x up of the tabletop but thats it. So i tried to drop in ouch no. Well maby i can do a air of of the 5ft mini ramp thing (i really dont know the name, kinda like they cut out a piece of a mini ramp and out it in a spot by its self) well i tryed 3 times. All of them i fell pretty hard. I was trying to push my front well down but i just could not. So id land on my back wheel. Next i tried to do i lil 180 off the very flat ramp thing (eh i really need to remember names) I tried 2 times and fall pretty hard both times. So not i have a elbo the size of a grape fruit and a not in my back the size of a basketball.
To get good at BMX it takes alot of trying things, and failing. It takes pain. Everyone falls, and if your trying something new, your going to fall alot. Its up to you wether or not your taking things to fast, really. If you get frusterated or mad, and your hurt, stop. Walk away from it for a little bit. BMX is about having fun, and your not going to land your trick if your pissed at it... Come back in an hour, or the next day, and think about what you were doing wrong and try to fix it. Have fun with BMX, and it will treat you good.
Theirs many days that I come home from riding and am really sore, and really hurt because I kept going for that one trick, or that one line, and kept eating it. But don't let yourself get pissed, and you will finally land it, and that will be the best feeling in the world.

The best thing to do is to just flow, have fun doing what you can, and if you know you can do something, but your just scared, you've got to relax and mentally push the fear aside and do it. But doing what you think is fun without worrying about progressing will make riding so much more fun, and you will most likely progress even more. Not to mention develop your own style.

wear protective gear, it might not look gangsta but it does make u less feared and does stop you from hurting urslef too much. then when u get good at it u can take it off. But remember always wear a helmet.

Pmsl, Dawg you aint down with the bmx scene YOU AINT "GANGSTA"?
Shut up about all this crap about "Gangsta" being gangsta has nothing to do with this sport, this sport is all about having fun, pushing the limits to the max and making friends, there is no room for "Gangsta" crap, i know tom white seems to be "Gangsta" but he aint he's just a very good bmxer who thinks his black.
Now back to the topic, Don't worry about not learning anything quickly, it took me a year to learn to tyre tap and i still mess them up now and then, go out and have fun, wear protective gear if you feel as though it's nessacary, take it easy as well don't go throwing your body about to much then you won't hurt yourself making you go out for a few weeks or when ever or feel as though your learning and quit and go to inline, if you go to inline, you will be hunted down have your binlines taken off and burnt then thrown into the sea.

Bite me POHM rofl, i was merely saying that it might not look kool to be padded up but it will sure boost ur cofidence to try harder and go bigger.
Words can have two different meanings specially from 2 opposite sides of the world. and i definately wasn't saying im gangsta, my def of gangster is kool, flash watever. But Tom white is definately a good bmxer

I don't know but i find the more i fall the funner it is because if i dont stick it the first time i will try over and over again... i remember when i was first learning wall rides i sat there for 2 hours trying them.... till i pulled it and i was soooo psyched and decided i would wallride every wall i saw...
So basically don't try and do everything at once... take it one step at a time and try and try till you get it dialed then move on to the next trick... because learning one trick will help with some other tricks... like dropping in.. will help airing out ( well i would think it would...)

If you need that extra push bring some friends that make fun of you if you dont do it:wink: That little bit of aggrivation helps:lol: thats just me though.
But dont ever worry about how good you are, if your having fun than you doing great. I have so many friends that just go to the skatepark and stare becuase they are intimidated by the better riders becuase they dont wanna be embarassed or shown up. It just kills there progression.
Just toss a helmet on and go for a step of what you think your comfortable with everyonce in a while and youll slowly get better.
Btw does anyone else talk to thelmselves before they throw something big?!

yeah i know what you mean by being intimidated, there can be some real cool friend riders/skaters down there, but you also get some dickheads just wanting to start shit and give you shit. i sometimes go to my skatepark when theres like hardly neone there or late at night cos theres lights on ours.
and talking to yourself before pullin anything big, i do it sometimes when im doing some dirt jumps lol, "shit am i gonna make it, will i pull it come on you can do it" lol
