Well there isnt alot of parks around and i ride mostly street but parks are fun, i like riding ramps etc. Ive been biking about 3 weeks (bmx not biking) and i was riding halfpipe today and i cant do anything lmao. Should i just stick to street or do both? (Just makes the workload x2 but then i would ride more :P)

try a bit of everything. then find the one you like the most and stick with it. or be a brave person... and do it all. and be different :)

i dont see why you wouldnt try both.

i ride dirt and street...and ive been looking for skateparks around me that let bikes in so i can ride park too.

do both, imo park makes u lazy because you have ramps/trannies whereas street forces you to find your own things to ride...and ways to ride it
street will also change the way you look at park(maybe? my local is pretty small but most of the bmxers here think its the best in the region because the one in the next town over is just a skate-ish one with not much to do except grinds)
whereas we have a bowl, spine, minis...couple of boxes and rails and a shitty hip type thing, stair sets...its small but fun and so everyone is creative and finds new lines...haha
yeah. it depends what you like doing...

Well should i learn both or just one, park is very fun (today was my first time on a halfpipe and i loved it) even tho all i could do is like circles around it without getting any air. I think ill do both but focus on street more because i cant go to the park everyday.

riding at a park IMO will make you a better rider faster because every thing is there for you and yes do both

IMO you should ride all type; park, street, vert and dirt. EAch has its own skills its can teach you that you can use on the other...

Street requires strength in many cases as you don't have transitoins to pop you up, where as ramp can teach you about style, smoothness (is that word) and air which is ahrd to do on street, same with dirt (flow and rhythm) and vert.

I ride mostly park not cos I want do but street is very limited as the town has been made bike / skater proof and there's not a lot in the way of trails but that is being rectified. I want to ride all types.............. "variety is the spice of life" and "familiarity breeds contempt", etc etc etc

If you have parks, use them. some people aren't blessed with a park, or a park that allows bikes. I have like 700000 parks around here that allow bikes, but i'm just saying. Try all sorts of stuff, do it all, or just stick with what you like more.

First: I bet you don't have a haflpipe in your skatepark. A halfpipe is a least 3m high and has vert. I think you have a miniramp in your skatepark.

Everyone here rides street and skatepark. We all meet at the skatepark and ride there. Then when enough people want to ride street, we ride street. It's that easy.

I would do both. I like park and street.
I like street because it forces you to use your imagination.
I like park because it tends to be easier on your body, and at my park I use my imagination alot.

But if you ride both and don't like one of them, drop it, and come back to it when you're better.

i almost only ride park but maybe thats just because our park is really good and a short ride away.

if you have access to a park then use it, surely i cant make you any worse :)

but when the new dirt jumps are built ill ride that a bit too

I would love to ride park but the nearest park is 1 hour train ride away so i havent been there yet. All i can do is bunnyhop and Xup off of my mini rampage ramp. Would i be good enough to ride park?
