i need help snapping into turndowns. does it just get faster as you get more comfortable with the trick or is there any techniques to get into it faster?

I first tried them as x-ups with a kickout.. which is not the correct way but it kinda helps you get the motion. Its really all in the arms for this trick. You wanna pull your front end straight up. I do them to the right so thats how ill explain it, just do the opposite if you feel comfy to the left. After you get the bike straight up, pull your right arm tward your waist, pussh out with your left arm. This causes the bars to go around your headtube. You wanna straighten your legs out, and be in an upright position. What a turndown is is kinda like a standing x-up. Instead of crossing your arms though you move with them up and around the headtube. Hope it helps.

That's actually a really good and simplified explaination. I've been trying them and I think I was over thinking it. I like how you explained it, it makes total sense that way.

dont worry this trick may come quicker to some than others, took me only afew days but dont get discouraged. Keep at them and you'll get it, practive on somthing that launches you straight up like a spine, fly out, etc.. it will be easier to click into them that way.
