I keep hitting my right ankle on my cranks (primo powerbites) in tricks (360's, 180 barspins mainly)... it's really sore to touch.... Any way I can avoid this? Something I could wrap round my cranks/ankle?

I took off the bottom of a pair of soccer chin gaurds and wore them at times(they have a slim plastic insert...most do). I also have used neophrene(sp) ankle sleeves as protection, and so my ankles didn't get sore. It keeps them warm, and at 31(in april) the less chance of injury the better.
Healing now takes SO MUCH longer...

i've tried ankle supports and hard caps protecters.
Everything hurts.
I found with the protecters the hard cap dug into the ankle bone.
i have to finish ridin early somedays because of this problem.
i couldn't walk properly on tuesday due to this!
Ankles suck!

Same here...it pops or feels like you need to pop it all day. Nothing helps it, but Alive dulls it some.

Wear hightop shoes like air force ones, not sure if it will help all that much but should a little bit.

Yea, isn't it so fun. But, hey I'm not stopping. I may have my doc. look at it next time I'm in. Might be like my knee and need cleaned out. Had bone chips in my left for 3yrs(his guess) that the doc removed 4yrs ago. He said they were at least that old as my body had tried to start mending them back to the bone.

I wear these. The "cap" Joe talked about is firm but soft. No hard edges.

Ebay, any of the online stores I think. They're "pro tec, ankle guards".

That would just be a brace, nothing firm or harder to protect.
