im redoing a new jump, right now it has a 15 foot gap, and is 3 1/2 tall.
i only go about 7 to 10 feet high but i want to go atleast 15 and easiliy clear the 15 foot gap. how tall should i amke it and wat would be a good angle.
Make it a bit steeper than it is now, and make it at least 5 feet high.
Because a 15 foot gap, landing on a 3.5 foot tall landing must be pretty sketchy.
Just play around with the lip and formation and find what you like, and build your jumps a bit higher.
My trails are about a 12-13 ft. gap, 4.5 feet high or so.

right now we dont have much room to build big gapped jumps, as when you land you have a good 20ft going uphill to slow down and turn the corner.. so our jumps are about 6ft tall, some are 3-4ft tall uphill, with a bike length gap, and the lips are almost verticle on some, their like spines really, which is alot of fun for the space we have.
just remember if you make the lip steeper to get more height, youll have to go faster to clear the distance.

but isnt that like only for a certain distance? like if u make the jump a good angle ull get more height and will go farther?

sounds good

If you u make it really steep, you go really high. If you make it a decent angle the hieght and the distance depends on your speed.
If you want to go higher on your 15 ft. gap your going to want to make the jump a bit steeper than it is now, and your going to have to hit the jump with more speed.

yea, speed isnt really to muh of an issue becasue i go down a hill and there is a lentghy starauitawy and i used to ahve a easy gearing and was clearing the jump good, so i can get plenty f speed
