flatland whips wont help, first off all don't try them on quaters yet, find a place that you can air well with, as you reach the ramp start preparing your feet, i kick to my right so i have my toes in the concave of my left pedal and the heel of my right foot on the edge, as you start to gain air kick using the foot you have in the middle of the concave, the other leg should come up, as soon as the bike starts to rotate use your arms to help the momentum, i generally swing my bike to the left then dip the bike down, when the bike just reached halfway point lower the foot you DID NOT kick with so that way you catch it then manuver your kicking foot to the pedal, compress on landing and ride away with the biggest grin on your face

Best wear shin guards these will mess your shins

i don't see how footjam whips will help, as you jam you foot in the front wheel, how does this simulate a tailwhip air?

practice on your back, and flatland whips DO help, its a good way of practacing staying over your bars and getting the spin.

well i started learning them on the ground, just dont have anything to hop off of or a ramp/jump cuz of snow right now. if i had more time in the air i could get them but i dont have enough time.
