Seems like this is still a common question and the rubbish people sout is just stupid, so heres the truth and for all those peple wanting to do it, it's not going to be a good outlook.
Ok if you really want to try it then go for it but it's a lot of money for very little gain, infact you lose more money than you gain. If I remember correctly from science lessons then the molocules that make up helium are a hell of a lot smaller than those that make up oxygen therefore they can exscape through the holes in the fibres of the innertube.
Theres no reason why you can't pump your tyres up with helium, your tyres won't stay inflated very long, theres really not that much of a difference and if you have access to the compressor and helium and some spare money then go for it.
