By Hanging.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6119428.stm

Although he does deserve this, it's not going to make anyone feel better about the deaths of thier loved ones. I don't know why one would think that it would.

I wouldn't hang him. After he's dead, someone will go: "We hanged him and now he's dead... I still don't feel any better. ****, now I feel even worse because I killed someone." Too many people all over the world kill other people and get away with it. Kill them first.

How about just not killing?

I disagree. If someone killed my family, I would want him/her to die a very slow and painful death.
Life In Prison would probably show him though.

I doubt that you'd feel any better. Who wants to see another human die? :?

Charles

Well I wouldn't SEE him die, but I would feel much better knowing the scum bag who killed my family was dead, if innocent people can't live why should the guilty.

He was convicted of crimes against humanity, you can't get much worse than that.

I agree with the death penalty. They need it back here in MA and maybe there wouldn't be 10 shootings in Dorchester every week. You know that Manchester, NH cop that was shot in the head by some dumbass from Dorchester? Well that guy from Dorchester is getting the death penalty. Apparently New Hampshire will show 'em who's boss.

Probably. Or atleast, drug him to death, I don't know about hanging.

Hanging someone is too violent. If you're going to kill him get it over with quickly. Would you really want to see him hanged up in a tree?

think of how many things he has done then, do you want him to die quickly so its less painful? id rather see him suffer a little even tho its a little wrong

Hanging is an almost instant death, and has been for several hundred years, due to the invention of trapdoor gallows. What kind of punishment is death? Not only is it barbaric and primitive, but it isn't exactly going to cause them a great deal of suffering. A moment of pain, then BANG! Nothing, no pain, no nothing.

This trial = farce.

Any coincidence that the death sentence is given just days before the US mid term election?

Nope, I've been reading about that and apparantly the US decides the entire Iraqi court schedules and decided that his verdict was to be reached that close to the mid term elections.

It's human nature to kill. For you Christians, 90% of the Bible is death and war. Hmm, since the dawn of time man has killed and it will continue until we all just nuke each other. Sad but true.

MARS: THE AUSTRALIA OF TOMORROW

And an eye for an eye will make us all blind. Simply because one human life is take does not mean another human life must be extinguished to balance it out.

Just 'cause that's how it is, doesn't mean its right.

How'd you know I was a Christian?

OldGuy

I didn't know you were Christian in paticular, it was meant in general because most Christians seem to be more humane.

babelfish42

that's a sweeping generalisation: buddhism or jainism would appear to be the most humane faiths.

rape someone, be raped... what if you dont have balls (like... women?)?

in south africa the women put a tool in their vagina's which has sharp teeth on.... when the man puts his penis in the vagina the teeth lock on, the guy cant go to the hospital because the bleeding is as recognisable as a bullet wound and they'd know he tried to rape someone, haha.

anyway saddam is gonna die, but i'd rather he died in prison. i wonder if there'll be a broadcast of the hanging on the net when it is done...?

I dont think thats the way in which iraq operates/operated. I think you'll find 30 years in prison opposed to a death sentence is a 'western' thing.

First they should cut all his fingers off slow.. Then all his Toes even slower and then stick his fingers down in salt to make it even worse and then they should let him bleed to death in a prison that smells like shit...

It would suck to know that you are going to be hanged soon. They should drug him... it's more humaine than hanging. Or they could just keep him in jail for the rest of his life...

mike666
12-11-2006, 07:14 PM
I think its pretty stupid for him to be hung, and this wont be much of a warning to people, it can actually get criminals out of jail, lets say i killed someone, and in court i just go ahead and say something like "your honour, i killed this person out of revenge, back in grade 3, i watched him burn innocent ants with a magnifying glass, I could never forget myself for not stopping him, and now decided that the only way he will learn that it was the wrong thing to do, i punished him by killing him, like in saddam's case, and sure it's not crimes against humanity, but what about animal cruelty?" or something in that sort, and i'll bet $10 if that would happen, there would probably be a mob of animal rights protestors outside the court doors demanding my freedom or something stupid like that...yah its a long post, and one of my first ones, w/e...and on another note, i find it pretty stupid that so many of u are even arguing about this, did saddam do anything to you, or anyone related to u? im pretty sure its a no, which is why i dont understand why bush needed to get his hands on saddam in the first place, and why saddam is getting punished for things he did 30 years ago in a different country, just seems weird, w/e i wrote enough

When you commit an act, any act at all in relation to another person/living/non living thing you have to be prepared to except the consiquences (sp?) wether they are good or bad. If you commit a crime now, or one 30 years ago it doesnt matter when you commited it, you still are accountable.

Bush used Saddam as an excuse to invade Iraq, and when he wasn't finding him he turned his focuse to WMDs ect.

mike666
12-12-2006, 06:15 AM
true, a crime is a crime, no matter when it was commited, no doubt about it.
however, i still dont get why bush went for iraq, i really doubt it was for saddam, and the wmd thing really isnt believable either, as far as im concerned, bush had no real evidence (i actually dont know if he did or not, so dont freak out on me) of iraq having any wmd, yet he went for it anyway, u know, its like the whole thing with every paki being a terrorist, there's a guy down the street standing there, to me he looks suspicious, to everyone else he's just waiting for the bus, but to me he's suspicious, i think i'll go kick his ass (i love giving examples.) i dunno, i have absolutely nothing against saddam, he did nothing bad to me, nor my family or friends, in fact, i actually kinda like the guy, gave me a good laugh when they had him on family guy

nah, screw that, you'd be surrounded by hardcore publicity
still a colony on mars is a better thing to spend money on than killing people in the middle east. i forgot how many gazillions bush has spent on iraq now

"we will hunt them down, and we will prostitute them...*cough*"

not forgetting that saddam and the us used to be buddy buddy
