Surely two fatal school shootings within two weeks is perhaps a call for ever so slightly tighter gun control? It is ridiculous that a pupil can be shot within a school.

Let's just call it natural selection. Well, not really.

It kinda is proof that ordinary people can't be trusted with guns (hell, scissors in some cases...)

I dont know, its pretty ****ed up. And the ironic thing is schools are spending more and more money on security, but more and more bullshit is happening.

Just yesterday somebody came in and graffittied swasticas and KKKs all over the school.....

I blame rap music.

The (final) Solution is right in front of your damn eyes and being PC f*cks it all up. I say pop a cap or 250 thousand up Jay-Zed's ass and let's see how gangsta he is after that.

Oh, and as much as you love to think otherwise, GTA does friggin influence people. I don't give a shit if you are "aware of your actions and are a responsible teenager (oxymoron.)", there is always the retard who takes it too far.

I agree 100%. I was at my little brothers elementary school today when it got out, and parents these days let those kids get away with murder.

I couldnt believe some of the things I saw. The worst part is that the parents were all just standing right there watching and letting it all happen like nothing was wrong at all. My parents sure as hell didn't let me get away with that shit, and when I have kids I wont let them get away with it either.

billytalentisshweet

I think part of it is the parents too. My dad teaches grade one and he has kids stealing things from him, beating each other up, swearing and half of them can't read anything yet and the parents don't do anything to try and stop the behaviour.

Another part is the desensitizing that the media does. When you see people get shot and what not in the news/tv shows/video games/computer, you start to loose touch with reality.

My mistake, the US does not need better gun culture laws, it needs a reversal of culture: US culture clearly has some inherent flaw that allows incidents such as these to happen. Switzerland, for example, has a very high gun count per capita, yet has next to no gun crime, yet guns, and pyrotechnic devices are very freely available.

fairtrade
10-06-2006, 06:18 PM
Well, the UK has the same shitty culture as the USA but we don't get guns, and voila - not much gun crime *yeahright*.

It's easer than asking them to completely change, then we'd all miss the fat-assed, lazy loud mouthed americans as they get replaced with depressed good-for-nothings. Well, not really.

We should just arrest them all, and send them off to some sparsely inhabited continent somewhere and leave them for a while to cool off. Hmmmm, wait a minute...

shootings solve all problems dont u know... u can just simply shoot ur problems away then soon face consequinces with ur problems gone as well.... duh didnt u know....

that was that most retard question ive heard.... y do u think there are some people out there who arent as normal as they should be and look at things differently and yes some people do think shooting others is the way to solvo there problems.

You know what I REALLY HATE! SEXISM AND RACISM IN SCHOOLS!
Its so ****in bad... My friend jokingly calls me a fag... Teachers gives him a detention ( white male ) Kid slaps me in the face then punchs me for no reason , teach says Now settle down! And start heading for class ( black kid)
Girl calls someone on cellphone, teacher is fine with it... Shes talking away with her sister... Friend calls me so i answer, teacher says put your cell phone away before i take it away! Im like by gotta go... So then i go why dont you make her put her cellphone away? Because it is not a distraction to people and she is more responsible than you.... It was while we were waiting for busses....

Not necessarily.......Did you do everything your parents asked you to do when you were 16???????Anybody here?????My grandmother raised me right and to be a gentleman and always do the right thing........Did I???? Hell no I didn't. You cannot blame parents for a ****ed up 16 year old. What the hell can parents do to a 16 year old that doesn't do what you say??? Ground them so they sneak out?????? Beat their ass and go to jail???? You cannot blame anyone but the ****ed up people that pulled the trigger. If we had stricter guns laws only the bad guys would have them then. Hell, get rid of guns and people will still hack up each other with knives. It's in our nature to be f'ed up in the head and violent. Even the Bible is 90% violence and war.

They can't do shit when they're 16.

However, they can beat the pulp out of them at the age of 7.

Going to jail for beating kids is ridiculous. It's one thing to break bones, but some kids need a good thumping, and when it comes to them socially, people still whine.

i think that the guns should be restricted alot more. and if people werent so into stealing shit from one another and whatnot, such as more jobs and better pay. that could help everything.

Oh boy...
yes at 16 it is harder to control them, but if you enfore rules and teach them right and wrong and punish them when they do something bad when they are young, there is much less of a chance they will be all screwed up at 16. parents have to lay the groudwork.

the u.s. need looser gun control laws, the gun control laws only keep guns away from the law abiding citizens. what dont you people understand about that. like when we had the assault rifle ban, it only kept assault rifles out of the law abiding citzens hands, all the bad guys had them

He definitely meant to type it, and I agree with him. Bad buys will always be bad. They'll get their guns... Black market! The gun laws only make it hard for, like TireTap said, law abiding citizens to get a permit. Think about it... even if gun laws were looser, bad guys still aren't going to go through the whole system to get a permit. Why would they care? They look at going to jail as an honor.

WHAT DUMBASS IS GOING TO BREAK INTO A HOUSE WITH A GUY WHO HAS A SHOT GUN? NO ONE.

Someone is going to say, "Yeah but now that everyone has guns, they'll all start shooting each other."

1. No they won't. Normal people don't shoot others.
2. The guys in the ghettos aren't going to carry around a shotgun. If they break into a house with a guy who owns a shotgun or rifle, they're going to get killed.

We need the mob back. :P Ever wonder why crime rates were so low in Boston and NY when the Italian Mafia was in power?

WHAT DUMBASS IS GOING TO BREAK INTO A HOUSE WITH A GUY WHO HAS A SHOT GUN? NO ONE.

Anyone who wanted to break in anyway.

Just this time they will bring something better than a shotgun. Then instead of it just being theft it will either be the death of the robber or the death of the owner of the house and all his shit jacked.

Any country that has "the right to bear arms" up there along side such things as right to privacy and freedom of speach in its Bill of Rights, really needs to wonder why they have such problems.

In the US, if someone broke into your house & you beat the shit out of them & broke the leg or put them in a coma or something what would happen to you guys?
In the UK your supposed to ask them to leave & if they dont wait for the police!
Some guy got sued a while ago because a robber broke his leg falling down his stairs or something, its silly.

thing is, whos gunna educate them? They'll just sit listening to jay-z, and watching people shoot eachother on T.v., and their parents don't talk to them about it, and they think it goes on everywere. Thats when their perceptions get ****ed.

NOw if they were listening to soft classical music with singers singing about helping old ladys across the street, and watching people help eachother on t.v., and their parents showing them whats right and wrong, would we have so many school shootings?

probably not but their perceptions would still be f*cked. because they would go into the world believing that no1 does anything wrong to anyone.

Charles
12-27-2006, 01:15 PM
I don't think school shootings happen from just gangsta music or violent video games, the people who end up trying to kill others were probably made fun of, parents abused them, not treated for depression so they get back at the people by shooting them then kill themselves. Violent video games could influence the use of weapons though violent video games and rap music alone probably are not the cause.

Remember Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Its people who are to blame and not guns.

I know only too well about this as my wife is from Dunblane and she was a nursery teacher who cared for and knew most of the kids killed in the Dunblane shooting.

I knew a couple of the parents who children were shot (not killed) and they don't blame guns, they blame people; those who allow irresponsible people to own guns.

You don't need a gun to kill a bunch of people a car will do the job just as well............

Gun control? Holy GOD, that is a dumb idea. A town in the US required everyone over 18 and whoever wasn't an ex-con to own a firearm.

Guess what happened?

There had been no violent crimes in that town for the past ten years, except for one murder, but that was related to another town. Robberies were extremely low.

You guys in England have your little police force dictating you, with all those cameras and the police carrying automatic weapons. You're being conditioned to submit to total control over your lives, and it's sick watching your government slowly do this. Ever read 1984?

The whole gun control thuing will be debated forever.
But as stated earlier. Switzerland has a very high gun ownership per capita, and less violent crime.
I blame parents. Kids are naturally very emotional, and energetic beings. They need somewhere to direct it. If they get mad, and nobody listens, and all they get is rejection, that gets to be very scarring. Now, if that kid was at least educated in right versus wrong, he may be able to deal with it better than a kid who is abused and can't trust anybody. His world is crashing down, and there is no right or wrong. What happens next?

I was a very emotional child, but luckily I had parents who would talk to me, or "give me a thumpin" when I needed it. Nowadays, it seems like if you lay a hand on your child, you have a liberal in your face screaming something about child abuse. Feel free to blame them as well because of the stupid, useless, whiney-assed, can't-stick-up-for-yourself-and-must-blame-everybody-else movement known as "Political Correctness". PC is a big reason that people are afraid to discipline their kids.

edit: I just saw how old this thread was. Why are we stirring it up again?

And you live in the US?

Oh the irony.

It's true that the US has a super police force that does stupid stuff, but at least some fat guy in a room full of monitors won't be able to tell which shoelace of mine is untied. Seriously, the flag of England should have a camera lens included.

I can't get through London's airport without having every single cavity searched by some homosexual police officer who gets wood while doing his job. Come on now, is it nessessary?
