I work in a shop and have plenty of time on my hands. So I wanted to see what i could do about my aheadset coming loose, and the problem with broken star nuts.
1. Find a washer that fits directly into your fork.
2. weld an appropriate sized nut for your application onto the washer
3. take and allen head bolt to match the nut
4. weld an appropriate sized washer for your stem ontop of the bolt
(careful not to cover the allenhead hole)
5. spot weld the nut andwasher about 1/2 an inch into your fork top.
there you go it will never break and you can drill the allen bolt out if you want to run a front brake through it.
any questions feel free to email me and i will be glad to help. or if you give me the dementions i will make one for you if you want a picture of it let me know!
