There not really but there cutting things out of frames but oh it looks sweet and is a nice idea. They've machined out the Stolen logo in the headtube, which looks rather funky and is a nice new, fresh idea for weight whores like me.

But, this really is an OLD idea from the 90's. It never caused a problem, the reason is very easy.

Unlike the DEATH TRAP...I mean Grim Reaper, the cut out is small and isn't vertical or horizontal. It is a much smaller cut as well.

Thus, side to side force will not snap it like the Reaper could with the vertical cuts.

Matrix i dont agree with you on much, but i agree 100% on this one, i dont think your going to lose any noticeable strength at all, the cut is completly different. Also to all you people saying the weight loss is justified, i think youv rather missed the point, i highly doubt stolen did it to lose weight, im pretty sure they did it for the look alone, because it does look ****ing cool.
