I am super excited to show our 3rd revision of the Tree lite sprocket, I have been pulling all nighters designing this for the last few months. I have been using our 3D drawing program where we can actually test the sprocket strength on the computer. This allows us to make a very sophisticated sprocket with a tremendously high strength to weight ratio. Check it out below.
We have designed the spokes of this sprocket to be tapered and I-beam shaped. This makes the best use of the material used to form the bridgework of this awesome piece of machinery. Every single detail has been thoroughly thought out. Made of 5/16 thick 7075 t6 aluminum.
There will be two versions; this one is a regular bolt drive version with a 22mm center hole. It will come with an adapter spacer for 3/4 spindles. The spline drive sprocket will be here in a few weeks.
The teeth have been modeled after the tooth shape used for industrial machinery. In industrial situations this engineered tooth shape keeps machinery running quietly and smoothly at very high RPMs. For BMX it makes the smoothest running sprocket ever made.
