Call me a Maxxis tyre whore if you like but I’ve used every Maxxis tyre currently on the market and I won’t use anything else, which might just start to explain something about Maxis tyres in general. Maxxis have been making tyres for a long time now and they have produced many great tyres for all sorts of riding but Id have to say the Miracle tyre comes up trumps as far as the best street tyre is concerned.

The tread pattern is unique with the straight grooved tread running the complete circumference f the <city></city>

Tyre . This design allows rolling resistance to be kept at a minimum while not sacrificing grip. When the tyre is contacting the ground at an angle or slammed into the ground the raised grooved tread is allowed to flex and partial take the shape of the surface it is in contact with greatly increasing the grip levels. Weight wise these tyres are quite light at 640grams for one, which is something else to bare inmind if you are a weight whore or want to decrease rolling resistance.

The tyre is made from a 60a rubber compound like in all other Maxxis tyres and this simple means it is a very hard and durable rubber and as you guessed the tyre has lasted me a goodfive months now, though if you skid a lot it may probably not last as long. The sidewalls are pretty dam strong and on my tyre after aboutthree moths of riding did I notice damage to the sidewall but there has been no splitting of the sidewall or stitch work showing through after five months of riding.

Specs

Designed by Dave Mirra
Channelled tread design
Chose: 20”x1.85” or 20”x2.1”
60a
110 psi
Weight: 620g
Black
£10-15

They are really easy to get on and off rims with a set of good tyre levers and on some occasions putting them on without any tools also works.

Price wise I can’t fault them; £10 from the shop 2 minutes away from me is an extremely good price for such a well designed and long lasting and performing tyre.

Summary

Long lasting (60a rubber compound)

Unique design that decreases rolling resistance and increases grip

Well made

Rating

Mines coming up to a year old and still with plenty of life in it, I definately vouch for the 9.5/10...the "not perfect" bit being that the grooves tend to pick up bits of debris and stones etc when street riding. In a skatepark it gets 10/10 - Awesome tyre !

I was thinking more along te lines of the colour of the writing on the sidewal but yes the above is true aswell.

Don't footjam like an idiot and it will last forever.
Otherwise get an ASM tire.

i ride breaks and i don't skid. i was just wondering which is actually grippier from the opinion of someone who has ridden the myricle and the asm. i wanna get a new back tire but i cant decide.

i didnt want to make another review for this but ive had my miracle on the rear for two weeks and its awesome! id recomend it to anyone. it feels solid and rolls fast, and grips on the sh!tty local roads and the smooth Bball courts too (havnt ridin park yet) doesnt look like its wearing down at all (only two weeks). id prob get another when this wears out tho. i could see this working for a rear (if you get the 2.10) while dirt jumping, but not first choice. i dont ride dirt so its a great all around street/park/ramp tire. good job maxxis. anyway heres the pics of it mounted...

i have ordered one maxxis mirical 2 days ago after trying my brothers bike(dr_satan) on our small local parkk after he brought a oddessy path for the front and alreaddy had a hookworm on his bike and i prefere the desighn of the mirical and it has the same psi rating and both have good roll resistance so me and dr_satan will have hookworm and mirical on back and oddessy path on front
