I have had my ones about 2 years now. I've had absolutly no problems with them.
They are extremely light compared to the standard cranks which come on complete bikes.
I do alot of streetto so my powerbites have took alot of abuse andthey're still great apart fromthe scratches, they still run very smooth and look great.
I bought mine in silver, i know people who got them in black but the black wears off like on most other parts so id recommend silver.
I think thats all i can say about them, if you have the money i would definatly recommend these.
Costs: about $40 USD

there are two versions. $40 USD is for crank arms only (photo). The "full" version costs about $125 .

oh i get ya.. i think maybe the picture could be changed to the whole set then and the price updated.. because people looking at this will be looking for/reading a review of the whole set.

power bikes are tanky as f*ck
one i warning though if you get a set of the old ones they suck ass
there the one's with one pedal insert the thread wears-out with-out hard riding
so stay away from opld powerbites with no pedal insert

i have a pair of powerbites on my old bike i stripped a pedal area on one of the crankarms and cant run it now, and i do recomend silver there so much better then black cranks when u grind on them they look fine dont look like a pile of crap BUTT... if i strippped the pedal area on my old one i can send it back for a brand new one?

unless you have proof that you have broken a pair of hollow bites i dont belive what you just siad. if they are snap so easily, why do alot of riders run them? according to primo, hollownites are stronger because they have a hollow core which makes them more rigid. i think of it like a a hollow axel. the hollow axel is much stronger than a solid axel.
Not to mention this is a review of Powerbites, not Hollowbites.

Depends. A hollow axle is stiffer than a solid one.
But, a hollow axle will snap before it bends. Then again, i've never snapped or bent any 14mm axle and I've ran both hollow and solid.
As far as primo saying hollowbites are stronger......I dont know. If they were, what would be the point of keeping powerbites in production.
I run powerbites. They are old and abused and still run as good as the day I bought them. The inserts can be a hassle when changing pedals but if you torque them back down and then give a sudden force to the pedals, no worries. They come pre-greased but i think you can never have enough grease on threads. I put loads more in there. My pedals dont come loose while riding and I can change them out with little effort.
As far as the non-insert cranks....grease or oil the threads and they wont strip. Bicycle maintenence one oh one. Grease the threads!!!!!!

Highrider, you are right. A hollow axle can take more force than a solid one, but it snaps. A solid one will take less force to bend, but you can still run a bent axle. *As long as its only after dropout*
