I could probably make my own list of cars from memory that are RWD, but it would probably top 300 models easy, and would be a huge waste of time for me. That list would not even fill the tip of an iceburg of cars that are RWD.

If you don't know what cars are RWD, then why do you even care? I have owned FWD, RWD, and 4x4 (no AWD, yet). The fastest was my FWD car, my slowest a RWD. Of course, that had absolutly nothing to do with which tires pulled, but how the car was built.

get some rice while you're at it..

get a muscle car if you're lookin for power.

if you are lookin at an everyday commuter, i dunno rice so dont ask me

Nothing wrong with rice, I just hate ricers (the mentality).

I used to love muscle cars, but grew out of them. I need lateral g's in all 4 directions now, something muscle cars can't produce. That is why I don't drive a car at all anymore, two wheels only (with 100+ HP [please) :D

With the current gas prices id rather beable to drive 30 miles on a tank of gas in a car that goes as fast as a GTO when the GTO is probly only getting like 10 mpg.

With the current gas prices

Hahaha stupid/silly american, you are.Hey, some of our prices are getting pretty rediculous. Not too bad here in California, only about $3.20 for premium (required on my bikes). But some area's are above $5 per gallon because of this hurricane. By comparison, it was $6 a gallon in Sorrento, Italy a few months ago when I was there.

I just laugh, as I drop $10, and get 45 MPG at 90 MPH :D

I normally use your type of argument against other Americans. But, in all honesty, our economy is so strongly tied to the prices we are paying. When the cost of fuel goes up 15% in a year, it effects everything. Not a single thing we buy arrives without burning fossil fuels.

We also have a very poor mass transit infrastructure because of our reliance on cheap fuel.

if you want a car that is reliable and has power get a supra turbo year 92 and down you also could get a 240sx if your planing on drifting the 240sx its way lighter than the supra but the supra is faster and could make it drift but is harder. you could also go with a rx7 but the turbo ones are not reliable they blow their engine below 100K. whats your price range?

Sidewalk
09-04-2005, 07:31 PM
To be more accurate, older rotaries would lose their apex seals.

I personally find "drifting" an annoying fad in the US. It has been popular in other places for some time, but I hope it dies off soon here. Watching some ass hat use both lanes of a two lane mountain road to show off makes me less then happy. Especially if I am in the other lane on my motorcycle!

It went up 2 dollars already since January... Not in one week, but enough is going on already, while we are paying the biggest jackpot already. Only turkey pays more. The rest is frikking cheaper. Venzuela is 15 cent a gallon or something...unbelievable.

I took a picture of a gas pump in Oman while I was there. The price was .102 RO's per liter. That is .21 Euro per liter! A couple of months later when I was in Italy, it was 1.08 Euro.

For the confused Americans:
Oman pays $0.98 per gallon for deisel.
Italy pays $5.12 a gallon.

holy shit !!!

the reason why gas is big buck in the states is because all different states have different additives the demand to be put in gas..if the USA had just a universal standard of gas there would really be no prob with gas and it would all be the same price

as in MASS...that have an additive which brought up gas prices 50cents and to find out later this additve pollutes ground water

all about the benjamens

I believe the rise in gas prices is all political. For every cent the gov raises the gas they get more money.

That's a jdm fairlady Z from the country of the rising sun. That's left hand drive buddy. That bastard is built for sure but it takes alot of power to move that 3000lb girth.

Do you want a drifter or something fast?

If you want a drifter, supras and rx-7s are too heavy and too sluggish for the likes of a beginner and insurance/gas would kill the shit out of you.

Go for a 240. S13's with lazy eyes are the shit.

My dream import is a S14 240. I'd get a jdm s15 front clip to do a silvia conversion with LHD. I'd build the motor with parts from HKS, Scat, and eagle bits, sleeve the block, elarge the water jackets, install a huge ass radiator with custom plumbing I'd also add an HKS turbo timer and an apexi electronic boost controller and an Air/fuel controller with the proper gauges, all hidden cleanly ofcourse. I'd be rolling on 19 inch work meister wheels with bronze spokes wrapped in pirelli pzero tires. I'd have energy suspension bushings everywhere, nismo anti sway bars and strut bars, koni yellow shocks, ground control coilovers, an APEXi N1 3.5" exhaust w/o the cat, custom short running intake manifold, custom turbo manifold.....all kinds of shit. Lets not forget a stealthy black paint job. No wing, doluck japan bumpers and side skirts with a doluck carbon fiber vented hood. Um for the bumps, i'd have a clarion unit and 12 band equilizer, an alphasonic 1000watt amp, and 2 alpine type r 12" all built down flush inside the trunk.

No neon, no altezzas, no nitrous, no tv's....just a pure jdm drift machine. Maybe one day. I get a boner just thinking about this car. Hotness. 240s rule.

Nissan pwns honda in every way possible.

Hell yeah its a ****ing joke. That movie sucks ass as do the posers with huge wings on stock cars with auto zone coffee can exhausts and poorly secured neons.....

You should see the long fleets of street/track racers that role through town every weekend on there way to the country roads/tracks to throw down for cash, slips, and bragging rights. Those bastards mean mug eachother like you wouldnt believe and dont even ask them what they got underneath the hood. I'll tell you one thing though, those cars sound manly, none of that we'edwacker bullshit.

Not really. I've driven one before. Stock, they are quite easy to drift and get used to holding in a drift w/o spinning out. The only thing they are notorious for is being bad ass drift cars and the easiest to learn with. As long as you ease up off the gas and are carefull with steering adjustments, they're fine.

S13 fastback is the EASIEST drift car for beginners. Hands down. Corollas take some lovin but they are easy as well, but the S13, e-brake, full lock and give er some angle with the throttle and you have a textbook perfect drift.

A couple of years ago a bunch of Japanese guys who happened to be the editors of magazines came upon a great marketing stragagety and got the youth a lot more instered in modifying cars than they ever were before, then a couple of years later Grand Turismo came out and the scene got huge everybody wanted a jap car. As a result a horrible movie came out then every body and their mom wanted an import with JDM this and aftermarket that, people who didn’t even care about their cars enough to wash them before started buying 500dollar exhaust systems when they cant even change their oil or breaks.
