Trick Description
A succesful stunt where a bicycle rider defies convention and rides his/her bicycle on a vertical surface, in this case near vertical.
How To:
First, this maneuver requires a Jersey-type curb. A less colorful name is a traffic barrier.
Next, of course, it also requires a bicycle. The bicycle of choice seems to be one similiar to this one.
Now, approach the "Jersey curb" at an angle with medium speed. The angle you choose will determine the height and length of the maneuver. An acute angle will carry you further along the obstacle, while the obtuse will force you higher on the wall.
Compress as you near the wall and lift the front wheel onto the surface of the "Jersey curb."
Start tilting the bicycle, so that the pegs do not hit the wall and lift the rear wheel onto the surface. Remember to stay compressed and tilted.
Enjoy the ride. At this point, I would advise against take any appendages off of the bicycle. Getting a hand caught on that fence looks painful. (It is.)
By now, you will be running out of speed. Turn the handlebars away from the wall and pull the front wheel off of the wall. Don't pull brakes to try and leave a skid mark on the "Jersey curb." This will anger the barrier and cause it to slam your front wheel into the ground. If you decide to attempt this, wear a helmet and pull REALLY hard before pulling lever. Trust me.
Ride away sure that your dreams of being a player in the world of action sports is one step closer to fruition. Congratulations.
I would like to thank my ten second timer for not giving me a lot of time to set it and get the picture. And the thunderstorm that soaked my ass on the way home. You were both so hepful.
Drink water and wear whatever pads you want. Helmets are useful and keep your brain intact.

I'm from jersey. I have some jersey barriers like 2 miles from my house. But they have sugar sand around them so they suck for riding.

Super soft sand like beach sand. Hard to ride through.

Well. post it up. Go ride your bike and take some pictures. Then, post them.
And these aren't sequential. I had to take like thirty+ runs to get these. Damn timer.

You're either not pumping up onto the barrier or you're too straight up on the bike. Try pumping more into the "transition" and turning the bike away from the barrier. Or go a lot faster, it is easier.

theres not a single one of those in my town but 20 miles away at the hospital in the nearest town where i tried to ride street a couple times there are a few. one or two of them had wallride marks on them and i was just gunna try it when some dick docter type guy in faggish green cloths and woman shoes came and threatened to call the police and it was right next to the cop shop so we just got outta there. but ill go back some time probably next spring and do it. maybe i can finally get wallrides down.

they are in the process of making a massive long jersy curb right around the corner of my house. It has to be at least 1/2 mile long going down hill. it's not sepereate curbs put together but one smooth continous curb. Only problem is it divides a major road.
Gonna try and get some footage of it, it will either contain a successful trick or me bailing and getting run over by traffic hahaha.

Well they've made most of the jersey curb near my house, as promised here's the video of it. As i said it is one continious concrete form.
The video might be a little shakey, I was driving and trying to hold the camera still hehe. i was doing 50 kms or roughly 30 mph so you can get an idea of how long it actually is.

I've got video of one of my friends feebling, double pegging, pedal grinding and levitation grinding these. There's quite a few set up at the college here. They're fun to wallride.
