Does anyone listen to music while they ride? If so, what kind of music gets you pumped to ride? I usually take my Minidisc player(no skipping) on a few of my "cruising" rides. Just curious to see what everyone is listening to.

I listen to metal, but most the time, i tend to cruise round the skate park at a slow comfy pace, doing stall combo's etc. Spanish guitar music works well for me, i dunno the artist, just music my friend(a guitarist) gives me.

i dont like the heavy metal screaming stuff where the singers sound like they are trying to sound like demons... and they dont. they sound like a hungry disabled person (im not trying to offend anyone, my best friends sister is mentaly disabled so i feel for it and notice i didnt use the word "retard"). although sometimes the music on those songs is pretty good.

I like to listen to stuff you can understand and has a consistant non-complicated beat. i hate songs that have like 18 things going for a beat.

i used to listen to rap but i hate it now, its just too commercialized and its pretty much all R&B now. so im a rocker now  lol already growin the hair out w00t. anyway i got about 50 songs on my mp3 and im not gonna list em all so yeah.

i'd like to get a ipod shuffle that i could wear on my neck to ride with. cd players don't fit in my pockets and it wouldnt be worth the risk of breaking it.

i use a 512 mb mp3 and its plenty loud enough and lasts about a week on a battery for me, if i listen to it every day.

I'm no where near filling it up cause ill over-listen songs and take em off of it and then put a few new ones on.

I use a 5gb mp3 when i ride. A few songs from riding vids but mostly punk. Mainly bands that are big in america but nearly unheard of in the uk. All american rejects, Fallout Boy, Hot hot heat, Taking Back Sunday. Cant beat a bit of funeral for a friend or red hot chillis while ridin.

I listen to everything. Progressive rock, punk(crust, anarcho, street, oi, etc), metal(viking, melodic death, death, black, folk, progressive, power, thrash, you get the point), jazz, little grunge, grindcore, old school hardcore(not this new metalcore shit), old school hip hop, funk, and tons more....

i hope you weren't listing those bands as being big in america but 'nearly unheard of' over here because they are actually quite well known...
