Does your right side crank arm have a place for a sprocket bolt like on the left? If it does than yes you can switch it as long as you switch over the chain and chainwheel to the right without switching the cranks. If it doesn't have one then you are pretty much sol unless you switch your crank arms around, but this causes your pedals to unscrew when you ride.

The Mirraco cranks are compatible with LHD and RHD. switching the chainwheel is easy. the cassette is LHD, and can't be changed. you'll have go get a new wheel or hub. if the new wheel is RHD, then the whole drivetrain will be.

you need a side-specific hub to run RHD or LHD. most hubs only work on the right, LHD hubs only work on the left. there are a few hubs on the market that can be switched. the GSport Ratchet is the best of those hubs right now.

if the cranks are RHD/LHD by way of having a hole on each arm, then it will be an easy fix.

if you have LHD-specific cranks or RHD-specific cranks and you want to switch them, it can be done. anyone who tells you that your pedals will unscrew themselves is a) has never tried it or b) tried it and failed because he is a moron and does not know how to tighten pedals. in theory, pedals would unscrew themselves. in reality, this does not happen unless you fail to actually tighten your pedals. you can run a LHD hub with a RHD-specific crank if you swap your crank arms and swap your pedal spindles so the left pedal body is on the right spindle and the right body on the left spindle. it helps to put a little thread locker of some sort on the pedal bosses just in case it rattles loose, but this is only a marginal concern. if you tighten your pedals and just check them occasionally, they will not fall off.

this topic comes up a lot it belongs in the FAQ section. i am just going to start locking these threads and re-directing them all to this one.
