u need to ride sprints like up hills as fast as u can and just on flat ground.... when it comes to pumping all u have to do is pull up the front of the jump and push down the back when standin at the gate get ur pedals level adn when they tell u to go pull ur front wheel up to kinda get a jump comin outta the gate after u have all this u need to try and learn how to manual ne other ?s

to pump you lean back, push down with ur arms and on the top of the bump u stop pushing. To go faster u build ur leg strength by doing squats. To stand up on the gate u have to practice, and use ur shoulders to balence.

o ya if ur battling for first, on the turn u go up on the top of the burm, then usaully they come up to then you go down, and since there are now kinda in the middle u go up and cut them off. If you are in first take the inside, try not to let them get the inside turn.

in the rhythme u pull before the roller and push down on the back of it....to get faster do sprints up and down a flat road....balancing takes practice but when yur tire is up against the gate use yours arms to balance instead of leaning from side to side push back and forth on the handle bars to keep your balance..also looking at the gate helps too instead of looking at the light..I learned to race nbl before aba so im used to looking at the gate and listening personally i get more balance that way and i still have a great gate...when u have learned to get faster and have raced for about a year or two then u should consider clips but only when you are ready not before
