ok heres the deal i just got some klipsh 5.1 470 watt speakers. my current speakers are only 88 watt. im going from a 22 w. sub to a 170 w. sub. my question is is there something i could build an encasing so it doesnt vibrate to much around my house. my mom said if they are to loud she will take them away. i dont want them taken away because it took a lot of convincing my dad to even get them. an suggestions are welcome
why did you get such powerfull speakers if you cant turn em up?

Your sub will have a volume knob so just use it accordingly.
Its should also have a 'cut off' fequency knob which allows you to adjust how low of bass you want it to produce.

exactly, i had a 12" kicker and 10" jl audio sub hooked up to my computer, the kicker in a small sealed box and the jl in a big ported box, the kicker was under my chair and rumbled my ass.
just dont turn the thing up, theres not much you can do about the vibrating, other than to get foam weather stripping and put it on your doors, windows, and secure objects down like hanging pictures, put a little bit of foam on those, so that you dont got a solid object touching solid object, otherwise itll rattle
