Should I go clipless? Does it really make you faster? Is it easy to unclip? And finally, what are some good affordable ones?

It does make you faster if you get the whole pullin up ad pushin down technique happening.

To Clip or not to Clip, seems to be the question.
Clips are not cheating if the were it would be against the rules. That being said riders today are definately taking advantage of the push and pull they can get from each crank.
I believe that if a rider clips too early he sacrifices form on his manuals and jumping ability and his speed surpases his skills. Most of the time it is parents wanting to give their child an edge and forcing them to clip earlier than they should. This just hurts them in long run. One only should clip in once their skills have advances. Follow this advice and you may save yourself a broken collarbone.

Why are alot of people against clips? Why is it an unfair advantage? Thats like saying, "Hey, he has a back wheel and I dont and since he does, its unfair because im not willing to spend the money on one."

Clips only add acceleration, not speed. They do keep you incontact with the bike but at a severe cost. If things go wrong, you need to get away from the bike to bail. Clips do not let you bail from the bike easily. Clips can get you a trip to the hospital and forced time away from racing.
First get the skills and speed to jump, manual, pump and everything else to win races. If you can do it on flats, all the clips really add to that is a quicker acceleration to your top speed.
A Bmx Dad for 5 years. I've seen my son crash and burn a few times. He has already had 2 knee surgeries that I partially blame clips for the injuries.
Get the skills, THEN consider if clips REALLY will make any difference.
