Well lookintg at getting a 1986' Dodge Ramcharger sitting on 37"s with a 3" body lift.

It has the Crysler 360ci motor and the 4 speed manual to go.

NP-208 Tansfer case, Dana 44 front and 9 1/4 rear.

So I know the axels are a bonus, so what about the motors and trannys and tranfer case?

There is 158, xxx km/h on the truck so reasonably low.

Can the 360's be built up like the 350's power wise? They are both small blocks but I havent heard too too much about the 360s, I normally deal with chevy small blocks.

All in all it seem spretty solid, has a cage already in it, interior is reasonably clean.

What are you opinions on building up, (thinking posibly ditch the 3" body and putting a 6"-9" suspension) I just haven't heard muchc about the Ramchargers...

Any help is thanked.

the np208 is an alright t-case. np203/204's are better though. dana44 is alright for up front. 9" is solid. that's a big ass truck though and the 360 only puts out 190hp. there are much better platforms to start off with. are you going to use it for off roading/crawling or just as a mall cruiser?

Mainly a DD and some Mud bogging.
Not a truck to take out and beat up every weekend.

I know it's a heavy truck and not the best, but with the 360 is why I'm asking if they are able to be built up a bit to give it the little extra. I do plan to put a winch up front.

that would be a bitch to dd. you know oil kinda costs a lot these days... just stick with what you know or get an xj.

pshhh you don't need to turn, it's an american car! it has a photochop steering pump.

Yeah but for the price I'm not finding anything really. I just don't know the exact details about the 360s I know that they are 90degree small block. Carb'. I do know they have a rep' for being a bit of a gas hog.
But at the same time 350's are gas hogs. An xj really doesn't suit my fancy and plus they are pricey. I know Detroit desiels and Chevy 302s. Ford 2.3 4 straights and well that's all i have real exeriance with mechanically. As for drive train I have an idea on what I need in axels and gearing, but when it comes to trannys and t-cases I'm lost. If given a truck to put together I ccould build it, but when it comes to know how on what parts are good no idea.

Well it's more then that.
Some fairly new 37/13/15 Tsl Boggers
Some older 31/10.50/15 hankooks
New clutch.
New belt.
New lights and fog lights.
Rebuilt brakes.
Shop installed 3"body.
Full cage.
158xxx km
mech, owned og owner.

And remember this is Canadian, to find even a stock xj is hard to do around here.
So you really think i should just keep looking and not pay over 600$?

Not always. Think about it - you do a job for 10 hours a day, do you /really/ want to come home and work on your own car?

And you're going to be getting bent over, your asshole filled with jelly, and raped at the pump. 37's + 360 v8 .. jesus.. I feel sorry for your wallet.
