i got a BRAND NEW set of standard strip bars in greyish/light blue. I willl also throw in a BRAND NEW IN PACKAGE odyssey trigger (rear lever in black).. Leave an offer and we can work out the details. They still have the original price tag of 59.99 on them. of course im not expecting to get that much for them. I actually got them with my trls 250 frame, but i already have a set of slambars.
They have a rise of 7.75”
-They are 27.5” wide
-10 degrees of backsweep
-.049 tubing 4130 chromoly I believe
-Lifetime warranty against bending or breaking
-About $50-60 depending on where you get them other than here. (the original sale sticker is still attached from "ace bicycle co. $59.99)
here is a review of these bars:
I got these handlebars last February and two frames later I’m still rockin them. The first thing I noticed was how wide these things were, a bit too wide for my liking (27.5”). So I took out the hacksaw and cut them down to about 24.5”. Next up, they’re pretty damn light as well, I am not sure of the exact weight but you can check Standard’s website for that. I got them in black and the paint is just like they use on their frames and is very thin, but unlike the paint on the frames, it holds pretty good (the pictures were taken last year when I was on my 125R frame which was powder coated over in orange… but that’s beside the point). I ride mostly trails so my bars aren’t too jammed up, no dents, just a few scratches and nicks from rocks and other debris.
Down to riding them. Like I said, I’ve had them since last February and they’re still holding up to this day. They feel a lot like S&M Slam bars and at first there was the wide feeling that I did not like after coming off of a pair of Haro Slim bars and Primo Mustache and I was not comfortable even after cutting them down. I soon got used to it and the 10 degree sweep is quite comfortable and I like to run my bars tall due to back aches. I am not always the smoothest person at the trails and I bail a lot, these bars have taken a beating even more so this fall when I tried (“tried” is the word haha) to ride park.
If you ride trails or race or ride park or just like tall bars, I recommend these. They do have a lifetime warranty (through Standard) so I guess there’s nothing to lose. 9/10
I have pics also....
