Ok, so this may be a stupid question but i honestly have never rode a flatland bike and ive never known anyone that rides flatland. On the other hand, i do enjoy watching flatlanders as much as any other type of riding. Some of the tricks are mind blowing. Anyway, what i dont understand is why are flatland frames so damn beefy? Seriously, the majority of flatland tricks if not all, are on flat ground but when i look at some of the frames you guys have, they look twice as thick or strong as a dirt/street frame. Whats up with that? Are they lighter than they look?
For example just look at styled_by_monkeys frame: http://www.bmx-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=14054&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

The head tube looks like it could go up against a freakin' tank and win 8O .
I assume theres a reason for this....my only guess is that they need to be due to the flex thats appiled to the frame while doing tricks with a lot a force. idk, you flatlanders could probably explain better.

It's called an internal headset. Maybe you've heard of it, it means that the headset is INSIDE the headtube..

Yea i have one on a Fit Series 2 but its like HALF the size...
Nothing against your bike, i like it but i just dont see why some of the frames have so much metal-mainly towards the front...

thats also cuz KHE has a thing called an internal gyro, check their website for more info on it. its pretty cool
also flatland frames have better geometry then most street/dirt/park frames and i might be wrong, but flatland frames are weaker then the above frames because of their geometry and how light they are, thus making them a bit weaker

i think you mean the khe internal gyro thing where the gyro is inside the headtube. That makes it pretty damn fat

Im no flatlander, but isnt it because of the design? A lot of flatland frames have a kind of 'two-stage' downtube, to give more space for scuffing. There are extra gussets and tubes to compensate for the downtube being bent or in 2 pieces. i think.
