i got off school yesterday for my summer holidays..and so i went out riding...i was really tired but i tried some stuff..
i go a 180 up a small 2set...
and there was a bigger one...i tried it...i was scared incase i didnt get my backwheel clipped the step..
i 180'd up it..but then for some reason i just fell back..
the landing was tiny...like it was kinda stupid me trying it because i would struggle to fakie with such little room..
and so i completely headbutted the wall..with the back of my head..
i got a bit of a thud but nothing serious..
the thing is..if i hadnt have been wearing my helmet i was for sure splitting my head open..
i look stupid with my helmet on..but after that im always going to wear it :D
you should too!

I think most people know that Helmets work.
99% of people are just stupid and don't realise how easy it is to get some serious injury from not wearing one.
I wear my helmet most of the time.
and I look like an idiot in a helmet, but i'd look more of an idiot in a wheelchair.

Most people dont realize how easy they can injure theyrselves. Once i was doing a 180, i took my foot off, but still was going backwards a litle bit from the inertia and i stumbled on a plywood, so i fell down and hit ground with my head.

Duh, do it all the time.
I've been there, done that. Been hurt, not fun. Everytime I've been hurt, I was wearing a helmet and it wasn't a bmx. Mountain bikes are killer.
2 years with no problems on a bmx; so **** it.

i don't wear a helmet, because i know my limits and i just ride for fun. i never had any serious injuries because i know how to not push myself. on the other hand, i do wear a helmet when i'm snowboarding, because snow is tempting and i always want to go extra insane because my brain thinks that if i fall it won't hurt. helmet saved my head like 5 times in the past 2 years

I've hit my head once, and that was due to the bike fallen on top of me, i appreciate them but i don't really wear one. Only ever on trails or it's a must have.

Trust me, if you don't push yourself you don't progress and your limits remain how they are for ages. People like Scotty C and unfortunaly Stephen Murray, they pushed the sports and look where they got or are.
Stay Strong Stephen.

I wear one for trying new things or trails, but when im kinda just chilling on the street i dont. I feel pretty confident in my overall riding that i only wear a helmet when i know i need one.

i totally agree with you man, but i don't really need to push myself, i just ride for fun and i'm pretty satisfied with the stuff i can do at the moment. of course i'll try new stuff every now and then (otherwise it would just get boring), but not to the extent that i can get very injured. i don't need to risk it, because i've got other things in life i need to concentrate on. i'll leave the pushing of the sport to the pros! like i said, i just love riding, but as a hobby, i'm not taking it seriously

rep! thats what its sposed to be about. i dont enjoy it that much when i eat sh*t trying a tuck no hander over a spine... its all about the flow, you watch x-games riders and theyre not really that smooth. loose stuff, but have you ever seen someone 720 a spine and now land flat? now you're just trying to do as much as you can before you hit the ground...
respect to chill riders everywhere you know what its about!
