Hey there,

I'm not only new to these boards here, but also to the world of BMX. I've read some sites and saw some examples and found out flatland and street attract me most. What is a decent bike which can be used for both flatland and street? Or is not smart to get one bike for these two styles?

My budget is enough, but I would prefer something around 300 euro (335 dolar) would be a nice limit :)

ohyeah if it does matter (alot) I'm 190 cm and around 75-80 kg

Thanks.

I would go for either:
>>> Mongoose Importan
>>> WTP Daredevil
>>> Twenty Model
>>> Fly McGyver

:)

hey thanks for the information guys.

I checked:

http://www.hangloosebmx.com/store/complete.htm

there are two types. The WTP daredevil 2k3 and the other which is too expensive. so this is the bike you are talking about?

http://www.hangloosebmx.com/store/detail/wtp-daredevil03.htm

hmm even a dutch shop, great :D
I'll wait some more opinions and if more people conirm it as a good bike than I'll purchase this one at the end of the week :)

which I find odd as well is that you se4e the wires of the brakes, how is a barspin possible with it then?

FOL

08-14-2003, 07:31 AM
yeah that sounds good. you can do barspins still cause it has a gyro. does that answer your question. when you get the bike. just look at the brake system and youll figure it out.

FOL

I already got a WTP pony pro for a while. But this topic is probably a sticky for a "good street/flatland" bike in general. So....

casperh

well, if he wants to be killed you can better ban(n?) him than kill him... looking at his post-quantity banning will be worse than killing him

Does anyone know anybody know anything about mosh bikes? They are pretty cheap and I was wondering if they were any good for a beginner bike. I was looking at this one http://visaliacyclery.com/site/itemdetails.cfm?ID=544&Catalog=39
What do you guys think?

sal
05-11-2004, 04:43 PM
this may sound like a silly question but how do you figure out what frame size suits best? obviously riding the bike helps!!! but i'm just wondering what frame size i should begin with, so i have an idea what to look for when i go into the bmx shop. im only small (5'3") so im not sure what to look for.
