Video compressor?

does anyone know of a good video compressor besides windows media encoder, cuz it keeps crashing on me which is pissing me off
i also need something that can like get clips froma 10 minute video

get adobe premiere 1.5 it has it's own compressor

nah, that one is way to complicated to use and it takes way to long to download and install along with how much space it uses 8O

"cough" Adobe Premiere or Final Cut (mac) ARE NOT the kind of programs you just 'download, and use.' Configurations are important. Hardware you are using is important....the method and order IN WHICH you installed it is important....

For me....Adobe or Final Cut is the ONLY way to go....they ARE slightly complex but WELL worth it.

i have adobe premier elements 1.0 and premier pro also i have adobe after effects. I get all this stuff when i go over seas for like 2 cents :lol:
